Unlike the full version of NSRP, NSRP-Lite only synchronizes configuration information. It does not support RTO or session synchronization. This means should a device failover occur all user sessions and VPN connections must be re-established. While most applications have built-in mechanisms to re-establish sessions, it is necessary to enable VPN Monitoring on the VPN Tunnels on NSRP-Lite devices to ensure the tunnels are properly re-established in the event of a failover.
