try to use:
myTimePicker.setDescendantFocusability(TimePicker.FOCUS_BLOCK_DESCENDANTS);to disable focus on the text views of the internal NumberPickers

also works for DatePicker, just use DatePicker.FOCUS_BLOCK_DESCENDANTS
