35. Search Insert Position

Given a sorted array and a target value, return the index if the target is found. If not, return the index where it would be if it were inserted in order.

You may assume no duplicates in the array.

Example 1:

Input: [1,3,5,6], 5
Output: 2

Example 2:

Input: [1,3,5,6], 2
Output: 1

Example 3:

Input: [1,3,5,6], 7
Output: 4

Example 4:

Input: [1,3,5,6], 0
Output: 0

搜索插入位置


这写法思路简单,但效率...... 排在末尾8%左右,但偶尔提交的时候会在80%之前,leetcode的计算方法令人费解.......
class Solution(object):
    def searchInsert(self, nums, target):
        """
        :type nums: List[int]
        :type target: int
        :rtype: int
        """
        if target not in nums:
            nums.append(target)
            nums.sort()
        return nums.index(target)
