getLanguage

public String getLanguage()

If you want to check for a specific language whose code has changed, don‘t do

 
 if (locale.getLanguage().equals("he")) 
    ... 
 

Instead, do

 
 if (locale.getLanguage().equals(new Locale("he", "", "").getLanguage())) 
    ...
