If failed to install a update, follow steps below:
1. Download the patch manually from Microsoft Update Catalog. Notes: Only IE is supported by the site.
2. Install the download patch. It‘s done if the installation success.
3. If you get "The Update is not applicable to your computer." when try to install the patch manually, and if you‘re sure the patch match your windows system in version and bit, mostly there will be more than one patches in the download folder.
If this is the case, try to install other patches in the folder. If you‘re told it has been installed, uninstall it from the Control Panel.
After uninstall all installed patches in the folder, Window Update will prompt you some patches are available to install and your target patch may be included. Select it only from the list and install it.
An example of this case is KB2532531 (The patch MS11-053 for product Windows 7 Ultimate (x64): Windows6.1-Windows7-SP1-KB2532531-x64.msu). You can see kb2532531 and kb2552343 in the download folder.
