After identifying the data block causing the ORA-8103 using Note 8103.1, you should look for : 1. The block causing the ORA-8103 will have type: 0x2b=unknown 2. The dump of the block will have the string "7F87312B" at the first 8 bytes of the block were the Type, Format and filler are expected Example : buffer tsn: 9 rdba: 0x0b411b1d (45/72477) scn: 0x000c.bbdc43b5 seq: 0x01 flg: 0x06 tail: 0x43b50601 frmt: 0x01 chkval: 0x9bc1 type: 0x2b=unknown
This seems to be hardware related problem as the signature [7f87312b] seems to be a common memory overwrite sequence/signature
found in some crashes reported by customers on Dell R910/R810 series machines.
